Everyday, we find another round of personal warfare in the political war. Michelle Obama used the word whitey. Not sure,
what bad word McCain used this week? It seems we've entered the world of issue free politics. Just attack your opponent
instead of stating your position. Just claim to be a uniter who will pull together the country or be a maverick on the straight talk
express. Never mind whether the perception you wish to project, actually meets with any facts, that is irrelevant. When a major
issue comes up just propose some type of bandaid solution, such as a gas tax holiday or a big oil gouging investigation.
Not that a gas tax holiday would be damaging, but it won't solve the problem. Neither will another big oil gouging investigation help
in anyway. It seems our politics has degenerated into a gossiping smearfest. It's truly pathetic.
